Antique French Gilt Bronze Curtain Tieback Hooks – Set of 5 | Napoleon III

A striking set of five antique French gilt bronze curtain tieback hooks (bronze doré), dating to the Napoleon III period. Designed in the Louis XVI Revival style, they feature a laurel-decorated stem and floral rosette, with their original gilt finish and a naturally aged patina.

Originally made to hold decorative curtain embrasses, these elegant architectural fittings would have adorned a refined 19th-century interior. Matching sets are increasingly difficult to find, making them ideal for restoring a period home or for use as distinctive decorative architectural pieces.

Dimensions: Approx. 11.5 cm long (15.5 cm including the fixing screw); 6 cm diameter (rosette). 

Condition: Good antique condition with wear and patina consistent with age. Some of the original fixing screws were lost over time and have been sympathetically replaced, allowing the hooks to remain functional while preserving the original gilt bronze fittings.
