Pair of Art Deco Tortoiseshell-Effect Glass Candlesticks, c.1930

This pair of Art Deco moulded glass candlesticks dates from around the 1930s.

Probably of Central European, and possibly Czech manufacture, these candlesticks reflect the bold geometric forms and innovative decorative glass associated with the Art Deco period. The warm amber and brown marbled glass creates a striking tortoiseshell effect, with subtle variations in pattern giving each candlestick its own character

Dimensions: Approx. 18.2 cm (height) × 7.8 cm (base) × 5.4 cm (top)

Material: Glass

Condition: Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. Please note a small chip to the edge of one candle holder, which does not detract from the overall appearance. Please refer to the photos for details.
