Antique Maw & Co Majolica Tile — Turquoise Floral & Foliage, Victorian, Late 19th Century
Pickup currently not available
This antique ceramic tile was produced by Maw & Co in the late 19th century at the Broseley works in Shropshire.
The square format is decorated with a floral and foliage motif, rendered in a turquoise-and-deep-blue majolica glaze with rich tonal variation.
The surface has a distinctive depth and gloss, typical of Victorian majolica, where colour and relief interact to create a strong visual effect.
Both graphic and textural, the tile works as a decorative object — suitable for display, framing, or integration into a wall composition.
