Mason's Ironstone Teapot — Vista Pattern Red & White Transferware, Mid-Century 1950s
Pickup currently not available
This Mason's Ironstone teapot in the “Vista” pattern, features red transferware decoration on a cream ground.
The angular form contrasts beautifully with the detailed pastoral scenes and scrolling foliage borders, creating a balance between structure and ornament characteristic of English transferware design.
Originally introduced in the 19th century and later reissued in the post-war period, the “Vista” pattern reflects a nostalgic interpretation of the countryside through richly layered printed decoration.
Dating from the 1950s–1970s, the piece works equally well as a functional teapot or as part of a decorative arrangement of patterned ceramics.
