Antique Sarreguemines Transferware Plates Set of 2 — Joan of Arc, French Faience, 19th Century

Originally produced as part of larger services — typically sets of 8 or even 10 plates — it is now rare to find a complete set, which makes surviving examples, especially pairs, all the more desirable.

Produced by Sarreguemines, these plates reflect the 19th-century fascination with historical narrative and national symbolism, rendered through finely detailed transfer printing.
Not dishwasher safe; hand washing only is recommended to preserve the delicate surface and protect the fine printed decoration.
